Xtreme Fighting Championships will return to the state of Kentucky for the first time since 2008, for the promotion's next event XFC 23: Louisville Slugfest. Scheduled for Friday, April 19 the AXStv broadcast will include the first ever XFC Strawweight WMMA title fight between former U.S. Boxing team member Stephanie "Snowflake" Eggink and veteran Angela Magana.
The XFC has been promoting women's MMA since 2007 and has featured at least one female bout on eac of their events since. The Strawweight division became one of the most active groups in 2013, which led to XFC President John Prisco's decision to make the fight between Eggink and Magana a championship bout.
